Happy Holidays!

Good morning, afternoon, evening, wherever you may be!  I hope everyone is having a good Thursday.  I'm enjoying my day off by doing laundry, baking some cookies and making some soup.  I'd much rather be home baking and cooking than going to work BUT, that doesn't pay me anything LOL.  So, next week is Christmas already! How did this come so fast?  It seems as we get older the time goes so much faster.  Anyways, my husband and I will be going to my parents for Christmas Eve dinner and my brothers for Christmas Day dinner.  We will be having Christmas Day breakfast at our home as usual.  It will be a lot of eating over two days and I already have my stretchy pants ready to accomodate all the extra belly bloat.  Its always nice getting together with family to talk, laugh and enjoy holiday foods.  My husband is particularly excited about Christmas Eve dinner with all the fish and seafood, his favorite.

Now I know that holidays are not everyones favorite thing because of family problems, or family that has passed away in the year.  Its okay to just sit back and do whatever makes you feel good and to get you through the day.  If that means hiding in your room and not coming out until its over, then so be it.  I had a few of those holidays after my first marriage ended.  I thought nothing would ever be okay again and that everything was my fault.  Then I realized it wasn't my fault at all and I was going to enjoy holidays and family time again.  After a while, I met my currant husband and its been happiness ever since.  Are there still hard days? Absolutely.  If you say you don't have any bad days or hard days then I say you're lying!!  There's no such thing as a perfect life or a perfect relationship.  My grandparents used to say that they weren't yelling at each other, they were just talking loud. LOL.  I've always admired my grandparents and my parents marriages because they always seemed so happy and loving and full of life.  Anyways, I hope each and everyone of you has some sort of happiness and love in your life, whether its a partner or a pet or just yourself.

Okay, holidays are on the way.  I need to bake more cookies (I feel like the cookie queen at this point).  I will wish you all happy holidays. Happy new year (let's hope and pray next year is better than the last 2)!!  Go and be happy.  Feel loved.  Feel blessed for anything you have because it can always be worse.  I've come to realize to be happy with what I have now because I don't know what I'll have tomorrow!  Enjoy the days ahead and let's all hope this world becomes a better place where people can be more kind and more forgiving of one another!

Happy holidays! Happy New Year!  ❤🎅🎇
